Kendra and her husband, Carl, met while they were both freshman at Illinois State University. After graduating college Kendra and Carl spend the next five years in a whirlwind of activity in Palo Alto, California. It was a tremendous, eye-opening opportunity of which they cherish every moment.

Kendra earned a plum rose as an event planner for a prestigious catering company, which found her in the company of Silicon Valley business executives and professional athletes. She and Carl loved their time in California, but they both agreed that some things in life are more important than others. So when the time came to start a family, they didn't hesitate for a second. It was time to move back home.
